Information about Upplev Vännäs

Upplev Vännäs is economic association, and through collaboration, we aim to work for an attractive and vibrant community. The collaboration takes place between the municipality, businesses, and property owners, and together we develop and promote the location Vännäs. The association works to strengthen the place’s brand by creating activities, experiences, promoting trade and good service, and fostering an attractive physical environment. The association does this, among other things, by marketing Vännäs' offerings in terms of visits, trade, services, and experiences. Through the local gift card, Vännäskortet, the association strengthens the local economy and encourages shopping locally

The association's purpose and goal

The purpose of the association is to be a forum for collaboration and development so that members together can create an attractive place with good access to experiences, entertainment, trade and service. Together, the members will create a Vännäs and a centre where everyone thrives, meets and enjoys life. The goal is for more people to want to stay, move here and visit Vännäs and for more companies to want to establish themselves here. The association works for Collaboration, Development and to create pride for Vännäs, this is done through strategic work and arranging activities and marketing. The association has two working groups that continuously plan and arrange activities within the association together with the association's executive director.

Vännäs and its centre will offer people throughout the Umeå region an attractive range of shops, meeting places, culture and entertainment that attract visitors. We want people who come here to experience the best of Västerbotten

The event group - a working group for marketing and events

This working group works to create activities for Vännäs that attract visitors and contribute to Vännäs' attractiveness. The group also works to create marketing campaigns and activities that strengthen the Vännäs brand.

This working group works on Vännäs' physical environment and collaborates on issues related to e.g. the development of park environments, lighting and signage.
