Glass church "Hägring"

Just west of Vännäs, Kent Karlsson's church stands on a moor and is reflected in the surrounding landscape. Like other churches, it stands there, exhorting or overlooked. But this church is not like other churches, here the architecture has turned into sharp sculpture and the church has become a mirage clad in cracked glass.

Hägring is part of a 35-mile-long art exhibition, from the coast in Holmsund in the east to Borgafjäll in the Southern Lapland Mountains in the west. A trip along the Art Route not only invites you to experience the 13 different works of art, it gives you fantastic natural experiences and many cultural and historical sights.
