Fällforsen

A beautiful area with walking areas and fire pits next to the roaring Fällforsen. Many people come here to hike along the river banks or visit the strange elephant formations. These craters and rocks that the water over the millennia ground into elephant head shapes, previously completely hidden by the rushing water of Fällforsen.

Once the powerstation in Harrsele was put into operation, the beautiful Fällforsen fell silent and yet another wild and powerful rapid was placed under the people's need for energy and electricity.
Before the regulation, Fällforsen was one of nature's powerful spectacles and a gathering place for everything from nature enthusiasts to families on an excursion. Fällforsen was considered one of the most beautiful rapids in Norrland.

The area is still a beautiful place to visit, and you will find nice walking areas, a beautiful bridge and fire pits with resting areas and shelters.

The fire pits are beautifully located by the river banks. A suspension bridge takes you over to the lovely viewpoint on the west side of the river, where you can sit in peace and quiet and let yourself be fulfilled by the beauty of nature.

Here you will also find "Spegeldammen" , which is part of the Harrsele fishing area.
